I am having trouble getting the 27bw to go into standby mode using the DVI connection.
I have changed the standby power settings for the monitor to turn on after one minute. I do not have a screen saver enabled.
When the monitor goes to standby after a few seconds it turns back on and displays the message "monitor going to sleep". This happens over and over again, and the monitor will not stay in standby with the orange power light. It continuously cycles through this process.
I read somewhere that another person had this issue and tried connecting via VGA and this solved the problem. I also tried this and the monitor properly went to standby mode. Does anyone have any idea why this would be the case? VGA quality is abysmal and I don't have an extra HDMI available to me so I need to use DVI.
