I was wondering if you have upgraded to Windows 8.1 and if this driver works with 8.1?
I am hesitant to do the upgrade because of the problem with the generic driver and the difficulty in finding and loading the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 video driver.
I feel I was lucky to find this solution and don't want to do the upgrade and have to abandon this PC because the video doesn't work.
